Celtic have agreed a deal to sign Gustaf Lagerbielke from Elfsborg. The Scottish Champions are needing to strengthen following the sale of Carl Starfelt to Celta Vigo earlier this week and it appears that Lagerbielke will head for Glasgow after the weekend.
According to Anel Avdić, a sports journalist, a £3m fee has been agreed between teams and now the player will look to complete a medical before sealing his move to Celtic.

Interestingly enough, Avdić claims that Carl Starfelt’s agent actually played a part in identifying the player and facilitating the move – probably due to the positive feeling that he had with the club.
It is believed that the player’s agent met with Celtic on Sunday to iron out personal terms as it appeared that Lagerbielke would join up with the biggest team in the country. Ajax have also been cited on social media as being interested in signing the player.
Celtic have Stephen Welsh, Liam Scales and Yuki Kobayashi currently on the periphery of Brendan’s plans. Nawrocki and Carter-Vickers will be the central pairing moving forward.
