Why the SPFL should grant Beale his wish and postpone next weekend’s game against Ross County…

Michael Beale is whining about the amount of games already and we’re only three domestic games into the campaign, theRangers has a gripe with the governing bodies about having to play at Ross County on Saturday afternoon in the Scottish Premiership when they have a vital game against PSV the following midweek.

PSV have a day off in preparation so Michael thinks theRangers should be afforded the same privilege from the Scottish football authorities. This is despite his side not facing a top six side away from home until October. He really has no shame.

What Beale is doing though is setting up Neil Doncaster and the SPFL to take the blame if or when his side fails to reach the Group stages of the Champions League. And as it’s likely to happen, watch out for the inevitable blame game taking place.

However I’m with Michael on this one, give them the day off to prepare, I say. It will give us an opportunity to stretch further ahead a week before the first Glasgow Derby of the season at Ibrox.

Not only will it give them a fixture dilemma further down the line it will be extra pressure on them to win the derby showdown. If it goes against them, the Ibrox punters will be fuming and claim that the SPFL conspired with Peter Lawwell for this to happen. It’s so predictable.

So let Michael have his wish please, Mr Doncaster and we can enjoy the meltdown that follows.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
