Breaking news from the SFA has brought contrasting fortunes to Celtic. Albian Ajeti has been charged with simulation following an investigation into the penalty incident against Kilmarnock on Tuesday night, meanwhile Scott Brown will face no further action for an alleged incident involving Aaron Tshibola during the same match.

Celtic won’t be the only disappointed party upon hearing the news though, as no doubt the BBC will be reeling at the fact Broony wasn’t deemed to be guilty of an alleged elbow.

Ajeti’s supposed dive can be seen in the footage below. It seems that there was contact, albeit very gentle. However, given that Edouard was not awarded a blatant penalty after being tripped in the first half, few can blame Ajeti for hitting the deck after feeling a touch from the keeper, no matter how slight.

The punishment set is a two match ban and Celtic have not responded to the charge as yet. It is now up to the club to decide whether they accept the ban or argue the case against it on 8 February. We will update on that as the story develops. However, it appears that the Hoops may soon be without the striker, which is a blow for Ajeti so soon after he scored his first goal since September and had hoped to kick on.
