EARLIER today, The Celtic Star reported on Anthony Joseph’s Albian Ajeti update that the striker was in Glasgow ahead of a medical with a deal expected to be completed in 72 hours.
The Scottish Sun have rubbished Sky Sports’ claim that Ajeti is in Glasgow ahead of a move to Celtic. The red top have claimed that the deal has been agreed but there is no imminent breakthrough between the Scottish Champions and the player.
It will be interesting to see whether the broadcaster or the tabloid comes out on top in this information battle but hopefully it is Sky, who have followed the story of Ajeti to Celtic very closely.
Elsewhere, the news about Ajeti has come at the same time as respected Celtic twitter account The Celtic Underground tweeting that the club are back in for Peterborough’s Ivan Toney. The news could be a weapon used by Celtic to strong-arm a deal between Ajeti or vice-versa.

Although, hopefully it is not both arriving because that would tempt the board into doing the unthinkable and selling Odsonne Edouard. This cannot happen in this season of seasons. We need to be strong in every position and as much as yesterday’s dire performance proved that investment is needed and selling our star asset is not the way to go about it.
