Since Ange Postecoglou’s side are off duty this weekend as the focus turns to International Football, we thought we would keep fans of the Scotland side up to date ahead of the must-win game tonight, with a play-off place beckoning.

Celtic captain Callum McGregor is in action as Scotland face Moldova tonight in the crucial World Cup Qualifier. Steve Clarke’s team are looking to book themselves a place in the play-offs before Monday’s game against table-topping Denmark.

Team News

Scotland are without Scott McTominay, who scored the late winner against Israel, has left the camp with a suspected throat infection. The Man Utd man’s absence means that Clarke will be without Lyndon Dykes, Ryan Christie (suspended), Grant Hanley and Ryan Fraser (withdrawn) for the game. Hearts defender John Souttar was called up to replace Hanley and it looks as if he will be starting in Chișinău.

David Turnbull has been in fine form with Celtic and Clarke may fancy bringing him into the team but breaking into the trio of McGregor, Gilmour and McGinn will prove to be difficult for the 22-year-old.

Predicted XI: Gordon; Robertson, Tierney, Cooper, Hendry, Patterson; McGregor, McGinn, Gilmour; Brown, Nisbet.

Kick Off

The game kicks off at 5pm.

Where to Watch

The game will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, with coverage starting at 4:30pm.
