It is being reported tonight that on-loan Celtic centre-back, Moritz Jenz is set to leave the Bhoys for a club in his homeland of Germany. The 23-year-old has fallen down the pecking order and it now appears that he will be seeking pastures new after all.

There was high hopes for Moritz when he joined the club during the summer transfer window, and after a very strong start to life in the hoops, he fell away and was replaced by the returning Carl Starfelt in Ange Postecoglou’s preferred central defensive partnership alongside American international, Cameron Carter-Vickers.

This evening, reports are widespread that the big defender will now travel home to Germany following a mixed spell at Celtic Park. Transfer guru, Gianluca Di Marzio have revealed that he has said goodbye to his teammates at Lennoxtown and will join up with Bundesliga club Schalke 04 before the close of the January transfer window.

I’m sure all the Celtic support would join in wishing Moritz all the very best for the future and sincerely thank him for his service these past few months since his move from FC Lorient in Ligue 1.

Thank you, Moritz.
