A vital win at Fir Park for Celtic as Hoops come from behind the secure late victory…

Phew, just like most of you I’ve just caught my breath as my heart starts to return to a normal beating rhythm.

That was a vital, vital win today. If we had dropped any points, which we were minutes away from doing, then I would be writing about how our season as far as winning the league title goes, would have been more than likely over.

We started the game the way we finished last week’s one against Kilmarnock at Celtic Park. We were lethargic and looked low on confidence, and it was no surprise that Motherwell went in one goal to the good at the interval through a cracking goal by Blair Spittal it has to be said.

Brendan to his credit changed things at half time, although it could be said that Kyogo looks like he aggravated that problem shoulder of his.

His replacement Adam Idah scored a wonderful header to draw us level. It really was a finish out of the top drawer, and perhaps something we’ve been lacking of late. A big powerful presence up front, and we seem to have found that in the on loan Norwich City man.

We looked a different side in the second half. We looked like we wanted the win, which is what we all want to see. We not only fought for every ball, but we looked more composed and together as a unit.

With time running out Adam Idah yet again scored with another fine instinctive finish to send the Celtic supporters behind the goal ecstatic. The rest of us watching on our screens celebrated in a similar fashion. It was a big, big goal and we all knew it.

Luis Palma made sure of the victory with virtually the last kick of the ball while also boosting our goal difference slightly.

Make no mistake, it was a vital, vital, win. A victory of much importance and one we will hopefully kick on from starting on Wednesday night against Dundee at Celtic Park.
