Motherwell hosting food bank ahead of Celtic visit

Motherwell’s Alan Burrows has taken to Twitter to remind supporters that Fir Park will play host to a foodbank ahead of Celtic’s visit next Saturday. The Chief Executive of Motherwell has updated fans of drop of points as the supporters look to donate to help the most vulnerable in society.

Burrows said that he would update during the week as to the specific arrangements for the game but it is encouraged that those that are going and can afford to do so, can help make a difference to a local foodbank.

Elsewhere, Celtic’s allocation for Fir Park may yet receive a boost after an update last week. Celtic had their allocation cut due to the ‘red zone’ at the stadium. There is some hope that this update may prompt the club to reverse this cut to the away allocation and allow more Celtic fans to make the short trip. It would be a boost for away supporters after missing out on travels for months whilst providing Motherwell with a ready source of income. We should expect to see an update in the next few days as to whether the South Lanarkshire side will offer more briefs to Celtic.
