TOM ROGIC & LEIGH GRIFFITHS have been ruled out of Celtic’s trip to St Mirren on Wednesday. The Scottish Champions will be looking to close the gap on the top of the table by winning their game in hand but Neil Lennon has confirmed that Rogic and Griffiths will not be part of the squad as they haven’t trained enough.

Speaking at the media conference today, Lennon also gave an injury update on Mikey Johnston, who is rehabbing after undergoing surgery on a knee injury.

Attacking midfielder Rogic and poacher Griffiths will now look to the weekend’s match versus Livingston as an opportunity to get back out onto the pitch. Rogic featured during pre-season but hasn’t since after picking up a slight injury.

Despite his injury record, a fit Tom Rogic is a top player to have around. He will be hoping to get himself back into contention for the games after the international break and prove his worth to Neil Lennon. The Australian, who has spent seven years with the club, is one of the most technically gifted players at the manager’s disposal. Meanwhile, a fit Leigh Griffiths is a valuable asset to have – even if he has a lot of work to do to get himself back in the good books with the manager and a lot of supporters.
