It has been well documented that Kristoffer Ajer is on AC Milan’s radar at the moment. The Italian club’s technical director, Paolo Maldini, even confirmed this fact earlier in the week, but also said that other names were on their list of targets and no active talks were taking place with Celtic or the player.

Neil Lennon backed those comments up by telling the Daily Record that there has been no offers made for Ajer and that Celtic have no intention of selling the Norwegian. In addition, the Celtic manager revealed that he has held talks with the young central defender and has no concerns over his commitment to the club.

The Celtic boss told the Daily Record: “He’s (Ajer) very focused. He’ll start tomorrow, he’s looking forward to the game. You can’t control speculation – there’s been no concrete offers, no confirmation of anything and we don’t want to sell him.

“He’s in a good place mentally, I spoke to him on it yesterday. I’m there as support for him, sometimes it can be a very distracting situation he finds himself in. He’s getting all the support he can from myself, my backroom team and obviously his team-mates.”
