Nicolas Kuhn – Goal a game Celtic winger really proving his worth

Nicolas Khun proving his worth, after being unfairly written off. He now just needs to do it consistently and a goal a game will do that perfectly!

Nicolas Khun added to his season’s goal tally in yesterday’s 3-1 win over Hibs in the League Cup with an opportunist goal that came about as a result of the intense Celtic press.

The German winger had his critics last season after arriving in January from Rapid Vienna. However he has responded magnificently as he’s started this season on fire and is now prove his worth. Kuhn looks like he’s going to be a top player who will be an important part of Brendan Rodgers squad.

Nicolas has pace, hie is direct, he can pick a pass and he can finish. He also has a great work ethic and all those components make him very much a Brendan Rodgers type of player.

The winger has just got to show all that on a consistent basis and if does just that, then he will be become a regular first team pick. Indeed if you fast forward just under two weeks then if he’s in the team that starts at Celtic Park against theRangers then it’s fair to say that he’ll have established himself as the first pick right winger.

That would represent a remarkable turnaround for a player who was unfairly written off as a ‘dud’ after only a few games with the club last season. Once again proving that you can’t write someone off without giving them a chance, something we are often guilty of at this football club.

Wasn’t Henrik Larsson being written off by some after his first few games at Celtic?

  1. Totally agree and well said.
To much board bashing going on during this window, which in turn is nothing more than a questioning of Rodgers judgement upon the decision making he has to be taken imo?
To much of this trying to promote that we are currently no further on than how we finished up last season?
Strange claim really, especially as kuhn looks a far better player than last season already, and he’s not alone in that regards either imo?
Currently we are in a position where 7 changes to our 25man squad from last season is currently in operation, and we still haven’t finalised our squad either yet?
With a huge focus upon the CL campaign this season, and potentially a bigger focus than many a previous campaign beforehand?
    Is in operation at present?
Only 4 additions have been made to our 25man squad from last season, and still places available that require filling, is where we find ourselves at present?
Yet can we expect idah and kuhn to be able to provide more for ourselves than what Abada and Oh, we’re able to provide last season, within a CL campaign?
Even scales was only within our squad last season as the backup LB originally, and Rodgers ended up changing that?
That option is still available to Rodgers and went the best part of last season, with it in position within the squad?
Would be very surprised if Rodgers was to continue with the same option within his defensive set up, yet who knows at this stage?
So even though there hasn’t been massive changes to our overall 25man CL squad at present?
There has still been enough introduced to make the claim that our 25man squad at present is already stronger than the one that was in operation last season, and it’s not even finalised yet either imo?
Already looking forward to our CL campaign, especially as for large chunks of last season, we never really looked like a CL team in the making imo?
Delighted to say that doesn’t look like the case at present, especially with the standard of football that this team is currently able to produce at present?
And already got more than the 16 in place throughout the squad that are more than capable of producing for what Rodgers is looking for throughout the team at present imo?
Even scales and Taylor are preforming at a decent level, that Rodgers seems content with at present?
Yet there seems to remain a demand for better within there positions?
Yet wasn’t the same claims made regarding kuhn also, especially last season?
