ANTHONY JOSEPH of Sky Sports has said that Celtic’s Board retain their support for manager Neil Lennon after the dismal 4-1 defeat to Slavia Prague saw Celtic drop out of the Europa League after just four games. The reporter took to Twitter to update fans who have been eyeing an announcement from the club but if Joseph is correct, they might have to wait a while longer.
The majority of the fans are of the opinion that in order to win 10IAR, Celtic need to pull the trigger and sack the Irishman. However, the board still think that Lennon can pull the season back on track after what has been an abject couple of months.
Lennon has been a brilliant servant to Celtic and whatever happens the success that he has enjoyed at the club cannot be understated. Albeit, football is ultimately a results driven business and if the club wish to make an enormous amount achievement then they need to seriously think about changing the personnel in the dugout.
