We’ve got to go straight for the juggler tonight, no excuses, Celtic, these three points are absolutely essential…

It’s back at Paradise tonight for a game under the lights and Dundee will provide the opposition. We can expect a change in mood too as the Celtic support has now put our January transfer window frustrations to one side, temporarily, to concentrate on our title winning push and every man, woman and child wearing green and white this evening will be fully committed and ready to roar on the Bhoys.

Hopefully those on the field of play will respond in the appropriate manner by putting on a show.

It won’t be easy. The Dark Blues are having a decent season and are in the hunt for a place in the top six, so it will be a tough night ahead for us, as all games at Celtic Park are at this moment. Maybe that change in atmosphere will help change that though?

Our last two league matches at Celtic Park have been disappointing. An unconvincing one goal win over Ross County and a dreadful draw against Kilmarnock are not what we expect from the side, so it adds further pressure on the players to not just get a result tonight, but to put on a fine performance also. Goal difference could prove decisive in any tight title battle as theRangers noticed at the weekend, putting five past their passive pals.

Essentially all our remaining games are cup finals and tonight will be the first.  We will create chances but in order to improve our goal difference significantly we need to start converting more that has been the case in this campaign.  Instead of being 1-0 up and nervously trying to hold on we should be getting a second and perhaps a third goal then throwing the kitchen sink at Dundee in the closing stages to up the goals tally.

We’ve got to come out the blocks firing on all cylinders and go for the juggler straight away. Dundee like most sides will aim to frustrate us as it’s worked for more than a few visiting sides this season. We’ve got to combat that and play to our strengths. We’ve got to be much better and stronger than we’ve been recently.

There is a title to be won. We are at home under the Paradise lights in front of a capacity crowd. There can be no excuses. Celtic proved at the weekend that this team can deliver on the road in this title run-in when the pressure is on as we now chasing the league leaders down. Tonight we’ll find out if the team – and the home support – has what it takes to handle the pressure at Celtic Park.

Every last one of us must do our bit. Loud and proud from the start. Let’s help Celtic put on a show!
