Speaking to Canary TV after his side’s defeat to St Pauli, Thorup said: “He is definitely part of my plans.
“He had a good camp in Austria. He came back into the group, of course it took some meetings to make it clear what we expect stepping into the start of the season and the rest of the transfer window.
He went on: “It looks like he’s ready to do whatever it takes. Accepting his role but also accepting that he was not part of the team in Hoffenheim.
“That’s how it is. We should expect sometimes that players step a little bit out of what we can expect. It’s important that we show that’s not acceptable but it’s also important that we show when time is gone, then they can get back into the group again, and that’s where Adam is.”

The confirmation of Idah’s position in the squad comes after he was booed onto the pitch by Norwich fans in the 67th minute. The striker started the game on the bench and couldn’t make much of an impact, coming on when the scoreline was already 3-1 to Norwich’s opponents.
He walked straight down the tunnel, being the only player not to applaud the supporters, and has been criticised on social media for his conduct.
The last Celtic bid remains at £4.5m, with his club looking to get more money in exchange for his services. He is contracted to Norwich until 2028, leaving them in a fantastic position to hold out for the financial package they’re seeking.

It doesn’t look as though Idah will be going anywhere, with the manager still clear on his stance. The Irishman appears to be firmly part of his plans.
However money talks and Celtic will have to make their move if they want to bring in the player in this window. Otherwise Celtic will be frustrated and Norwich will be left with a want-away player who is now public enemy number one with the Norwich City support.
