SCOTT BROWN will NOT face any disciplinary action from the Scottish FA’s Compliance Officer relating to a clash with St Mirren’s Jim Kellerman. BT Sport apparently were doing their best to try to establish that the Celtic skipper had stamped on the St Mirren player.
Those of us at the game thought it was something and nothing and now Clare Whyte, the Compliance Officer, has obviously agreed as she has NOT cited Brown.
One player who is in trouble from the midweek clash in Paisley is St Mirren striker Duckens Nazon who elbowed Kris Ajer.
Nazon has now been charged with violent conduct by the Scottish FA for after appearing to elbow Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer.
Haitian Nazon, 24, was not punished by referee Don Robertson and now faces a tribunal date on Tuesday.
Nazon will be free to play against Hamilton Academical on Saturday as St Mirren seek to move to within a point of the 10th-placed side. That’s because a club have until the third working day following the match to decide whether or not to accept the sanction.
Nazon would appear to be the Saints best bet for a much needed goal or two so a ban during the post split dog-fight at the bottom of the league could be significant.
