Numerous Japanese Media Outlets Cover Celtic’s Title Triumph

Many media have released articles about Celtic winning League title in Japan…

About three hours after the end of the game against Hearts (at 3:00am on 8 May, Japan time), 15 Japanese media companies released a total of 20 articles on the Internet about Celtic’s title win. The breakdown of media types is as follows.

FIVE Internet media companies
TWO major newspaper (online)
TWO sports magazines (online)
SIX football magazines (online)

This is only about one-third of the major media outlets in Japan. Therefore, it is predicted that at least a total of 50 articles will be released by 8 May. This is a particularly unusual number of articles among the news about European football clubs in Japan, and it shows that the activity of Celtic Japanese players is now a hot topic in Japan.

Unfortunately, baseball has longer history compared to football in Japan, and there are still few cases of TV programmes focusing on news about football. However, there is no doubt that by releasing many articles on the Internet like this time, it will be an opportunity for young people, who don’t know Celtic, and who are not interested in football, to get to know Celtic.

Celtic’s fans in Japan should be steadily increasing now.

Thank you for all the positive comments that I have received for my debut article on The Celtic Star which was published ahead of today’s 2-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle.  If you missed that last night you can still read it HERE.
