It looks like theRangers are opening a can of worms regarding VAR by demanding the release of the audio tapes from Saturday’s Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park…

So theRangers are still hurting from their defeat at Celtic Park on Saturday. They were soundly beaten but have used the squirrel of a correct VAR decision to deflect from the fact that they lost a game they thought was a guaranteed three points.

Make no mistake, they thought they just had to turn up at Celtic park to win. Every man woman and child amongst theRangers support believed that Philippe Clement’s quadruple chasing side were guaranteed a victory at the home of the current champions.

But Celtic brought them crashing back to earth by convincingly beating them That’s the honest truth. Yes Alistair Johnston’s handball was a punishable offence, but it didn’t matter as theRangers player was offside in the build up. It was the correct decision in the end. Case closed.

But theRangers supporters, players and management can’t see it. They think they have been wronged. Really? They actually want an explanation on a decision that was correct, they are not right in the head.

They have even asked the SPFL for an explanation and even demanded audio evidence from the governing body. Yes the side who get awarded penalties on a regular basis and haven’t conceded one in the league in over 70 games are crying conspiracy. It really is funny

By asking for recordings of the VAR audio they have opened a big can of worms, and it won’t be to the benefit of themselves. Yes the governing body are expectedly taking their time on an answer to the Ibrox club. They know if they release the audio recordings that they will have to do so for every other club in the league if asked.

What’s to stop Aberdeen and Motherwell from asking for the recordings of the recent controversial calls that went against their sides and favoured the Ibrox club?

Interesting times are ahead then for Scottish football as theRangers are about to open the floodgates on VAR and it certainly won’t benefit them the way they think.
