The chair of my club is the man where overall responsibility lies for the fiasco over the last two or three years and in any other business area would be replaced. I believe that he and many of his boardroom have been patronising and complacent towards their ‘customers’, the Celtic Supporters.

This Board believes that if they just stay ahead of our only real rivals for the league and win a trophy or two the support will be thrilled. A competent and forward thinking board would have built on the good years to reinvest – particularly each year in good time for the Champions League qualifiers – the entry into our real market where our reputation and finances are properly enhanced.

Its like a High Street store thinking about its Christmas stock and campaign in the last week of November – like Boots being outperformed suddenly by Superdrug.

The money currently in the bank is largely due to consumers like me handing over money at the start of the season each year – guaranteed income – not many businesses have that advantage.

Failure on the field here and in Europe dramatically affects income and reserves – the Board are responsible for that and should be accountable too.

No issues with the new manager they finally stumbled upon but why is Ange Postecoglou burdened with a failed structure and ineffectual coaching staff from previous managers rather than allowed to bring in his own staff? This potential cash cow of a business has just lost £11m + – that is down to indolence and incompetence over many years – overseen by the Chair – Ian Bankier should go.

Thanks
