“Palma wants Celtic” – Another positive update from Greece in Celtic’s pursuit of Luis Palma…
Giannis Chorianopoulos, who has been giving the Hoops masses updates online in regard the Luis Palma situation, has given another major cause for positivity for the fanbase. Earlier the journalist detailed how the Honduran had been left put of the Aris first-team training due to his potential move to Glasgow. Well now he has intimated that Palma’s preferred destination is Paradise.
There’s been a considerable amount of varying reports stating where Palma would like to go to next in his career, with one site even detailing how he would be looking for a stronger league than the Scottish Premiership. However, that now looks to be bogus as Chorianopoulos has stated categorically that the 23-year-old wants to move to the Bhoys.
It’s a welcome relief as we desperately need that sprinkling of quality to the squad and more pertinently, the starting XI. Losing Jota has left a major void in the team and a player of that ilk and quality is required if we are to be as successful second time around under returning boss, Brendan Rodgers.
More is required, as we know, due to the unfortunate spate of injuries we have accumulated in the past few weeks, particularly at the centre of defence. With a new left-winger, left full-back, goalkeeper and striker on the cards, as well as possibly one or two centre-backs now, it could be a hectic close of business for Celtic these next few coming days of the transfer window.
Here’s Giannis Chorianopoulos’ update:
“Not confirmed 100% yet, but seems Luis Palma will be out of Aris Thessaloniki squad for the match v Lamia on Sunday. Celtic and two non European clubs offers are on the table. Palma wants Celtic”
