Paradise, let’s make some noise for our title chasing Ghirls

There’s nothing quite like Trophy Day at Celtic Park and the only thing better than one is for Celtic to be in a position to deliver two in the same weekend!

Yesterday we celebrated our title triumph in style and today there might be more than a few sore heads this morning!

So don’t think of putting your feet up just yet as today could be the start of yet another celebration as the Celtic FC Women side have the chance to make it a double title celebration this afternoon as they take on Hibs at Celtic Park in the final game of the SWPL season.

Despite being level on points with theRangers, Elena Sadiku’s side only need to win to be sure of the title due to a vastly superior goal differential. The Rangers play Partick Thistle at the same time and are expected to win. They will be hoping that Hibs can take something from Celtic Park which would put theRangers on the verge of a Treble so it’s so crucial that Elena Sadiku’s Celtic side win this afternoon.

If the Ghirls prevail it will be a historic moment as it will be the first ever women’s title for Celtic Football Club and it will also be the first time that a men’s and women’s team have won the title in the same season. So with all that in mind it would be great if Elena and her side get a terrific backing inside Paradise as they look to cement their place in the history books.

Tickets are available via the official site or the ticket office today for the crunch clash and it will be good to see a massive turnout to back the Ghirls in their quest for glory. The initial sections opened have sold out and the club have opened up more so there’s plenty available as needed. It will be a great day out for the family and a special day for the weans!

We saw last season what great influence the big crowds had at the Celtic FC Women’s games inside Paradise and hopefully today breaks the record for the biggest ever crowd at a women’s match in Scotland. That record was set then broken by Celtic suppporters last season, so let’s break it again!

Let’s hope we see an even bigger turnout out this afternoon (kick-off is a 2.10pm) to roar on our Ghirls and hopefully kick off yet another title party this weekend!

So if you can make it, get yourself a ticket and head to Paradise (details shown below) to, fingers crossed, witness history being made and another trophy being won this weekend!

Let’s make some noise for the Ghirls! Come on you Ghirls in Green!
