The Premier Sports Cup match will be shown live on Premier Sports, with the winners of the tie securing a spot at Hampden for the semi-finals. Details on ticket allocations are set to be announced shortly, with Partick Thistle consulting their supporters on the placement of the travelling Celtic support [the more, the better]. Further updates are expected in the coming days.
Although the Hoops face a short journey across Glasgow, Brendan Rodgers and his side will approach the match professionally, particularly following the club’s recent Champions League exit in Almaty on Tuesday evening.

Brendan Rodgers will be keen to welcome some new signings ahead of the outing against former Celtic defender Mark Wilson.
The Jags have begun the season relatively well, with former Celtic academy graduate Tsoanelo Letsosa emerging as a key performer for Wilson’s men. It will be intriguing to watch how he performs against his old club next month.

Celtic are ready to invest around £8 million to secure the 27-year-old as a replacement for Adam Idah, who is being pursued by Swansea. Following preliminary discussions, Celtic have not yet met Anderlecht’s valuation or agreed to personal terms with the player.
Even after the setback of exiting Europe completely following Thursday night’s loss to AEK Athens in the Conference League playoff, the Belgians are hesitant to part with their best player and would rather offload or loan out Argentine striker Luis Vazquez.

His signing would significantly strengthen Rodgers’ attack and provide a much-needed successor to Kyogo Furuhashi, who left the club in January.
However, the Celtic boss at his media conference yesterday made it clear that he wants two strikers in the door before Monday’s deadline.
