Celtic central defender Christopher Jullien posted an image on his Instagram page earlier today, showing his leg in a brace and indicating that his road to recovery is going to be mid to long term. The Frenchman suffered his injury at the end of last year when he collided with the goalpost at Celtic Park to prevent a Dundee Utd goal. The clatter as his knee hit the post was horrible, and of course with no fans in the stadium it was heard by the supporters tuning in on their Pass to Paradise season ticket.

Using the hashtags Mamba Mentality, Stay Positive and Focused the Celtic star is pictured sitting on his steps at home in the snow with his knee still in a brace. Jullien travelled with the Celtic squad on the ill-advised trip to Dubai and duly caught covid-19 while there, meaning that he had to self-isolate – along with 13 of his fit teammates. Celtic’s chances of getting back into the title race died right there.

Jullien spoke to French media earlier this week suggesting that Olivier Ntcham, who has joined Marseille on loan with the French side having an option to buy in the summer, was stagnating at Celtic.

With Odsonne Edouard set to leave in the summer, Jullien would be the last remaining French star in the current Celtic squad. Unless he too fancies a move away.  Certainly Celtic have missed him this season due to his earlier back injury and now his knee problem.  Get well soon Chris.
