Photo: Brilliant Celtic shirt spotted at Slovakia Euro 2024 clash

Slovakia pulled off a remarkable upset at Euro 2024 this afternoon as they beat Belgium in Frankfurt. The goal from Schranz in the 7th minute separated the sides and delivered a timely reminder that anything can happen in the Euros.

Eagle eyed supporters spotted a Celtic shirt in the Slovakia support as they cheered their side on towards the famous win.

The shirt appears to be from 2000-01, season synonymous with Lino and Larsson. It is likely the Slovakian star’s time of the club that has inspired this choice of kit.

In 2015, Lubo commented affectionately about his time at Celtic.

“My favourite time, my most special time, was at Celtic. They said I was a ‘gift from God’ but it was the opposite – Celtic was a gift from God to me…Celtic is unique.”
