Photo: Celtic fans unveil poignant banner at Easter Road

The Celtic supporters that were fortunate enough to have a ticket for this afternoon’s game at Easter Road unveiled a poignant banner before kickoff. After weeks of unrest in England and N Ireland, where dangerous flames of division have been stoked, the Celtic support put out a timely reminder of the club’s heritage.

Over the advertising boards, the Celtic support unfurled a ‘Created by Immigrants’ banner to reject the hateful rhetoric that has ramped up on social media culminating in riots.

Celtic are currently 2-0 up at Half Time thanks to a goal from Nicolas Kühn and a screamer from skipper Callum McGregor. Celtic have been dominant, moving the ball slickly and with real intent. The manager will want more additions but he’ll be pleased with the showing so far in Leith.

      • Because i am not advocating to allow the third world to come here.

Anyone who advocates Open Borders has either a double digit IQ or is working to an pre determined agenda.

We’re not all 18 year old clownshoes, thankfully standing with multi coloured flags hanging out of their asses as the country is turned into a third world cesspit like the USA.

But stay woke champ. You’ve got this.

        • Do you even understand what you’re talking about here? I suspect you don’t. Otherwise you’d have put it down in plain English, the actual official language of the nation you are claiming to protect!
          How uneducated are you? 🤦🏻‍♂️
If you understood the point of it all, it is the freedom to choose! Now go educate yourself!

          • The official language of the nation i live in is Gaeilge, a chara. No plastic paddy’s with multi-coloured flags hanging out of their asses where i live gasúr.

How many refugees have you taken in Joe?

Or are you just virtue signalling like the rest of the clowshoes.

  1. As valuable as it is to welcome immigrants and refugees to a country that needs to address the demographic of an ageing population, banner signalling is so frequent that it loses it’s potency and encourages indifference.

    Less is more.
