Tomoki Iwata was named in the SPFL Team of the Week after his performance at Rugby Park. With his countryman Reo Hatate out, Ange Postecoglou brought the midfielder into the team to start alongside Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley in the central three, which resulted in Iwata standing out.
Celtic ran out 4-1 winners in the game with a blistering first half performance, in part down to Iwata and the rotations on the left side involving Daizen Maeda and Greg Taylor.
