The Daily Mail have been left with egg on their faces after publishing a match report of Celtic’s trip to Dingwall to face Ross County. The report stated that Celtic had drawn the match after Jack Baldwin’s effort had cancelled out Liel Abada’s opener. However, it obviously omitted the fact that Tony Ralston had snuck in at the back post to take all the points back to Glasgow.

Celtic will feel aggrieved at some of the refereeing decisions that were given against them over the course of the game, most notably an attempt from Callum McGregor which struck a Ross County player’s arm and then the sending off of Carl Starfelt. The Swede was elbowed in the face, drawing blood but his remonstrations with the referee asking him to stop play or to speak to the offender resulted in a yellow card for dissent.

It is a big win for Celtic at a tough away venue but now the focus will shift towards Hampden and the Cup Final against Hibernian on Sunday.
