Football has suffered a lot over the past year, but one of the more heartbreaking things is seeing a lot of clubs losing legendary players or coaches without the fans being there to give them a send-off.

That’s certainly the case with Scott Brown as his Celtic career has ended in a fairly anticlimactic way with no supporters and a poor end to the season, while the next time they see him will likely be in an Aberdeen shirt.

There will surely be some kind of send-off or ceremony at some point to give him a proper farewell, but for now he’s posted a message to all the fans on his Instagram page:

The move to Aberdeen is clearly the next step in his career towards a coaching role so it shows he should stay in the game after he retires, and it’s very possible that he does come back to Celtic in a coaching capacity at some point in the future.
