The Brazen Head pub is a focal point for Celtic supporters and the Glasgow Irish community in the Gorbals.

It opened in 1994 and is perhaps the most famous such establishment in tribute to Celtic Football Club. Since the departure of Baird’s Bar on the Gallowgate, The Brazen Head stands alone in terms of the memorabilia which adorns its walls.

Inside the bar, is a shrine to Celtic and their heroes, past and present, with fans and visitors amazed at the incredible collection of Celtic and football memorabilia.

The famous Eire Og Live at the Brazen CD gave it a place in Irish musical and Celtic supporting folklore, while it is a venue known for its atmosphere with plenty of live singers and passionate Celtic supporting guests.

Today, Celtic winger Jota took a trip to the pub. He posed for photos with staff and took in the sights and history on show. It’s not something you see every day, but it is a wonderful surprise.

He will have left knowing just what this club means to people and how it’s history and passion gets under your skin.
