The Barcelona and Spain legend called time on his playing career aged 40, bringing to a close the career of arguably one of the greatest midfielders of all time. Kyogo, who played with Iniesta in Japan with Vissel Kobe between 2018 and 2021, was full of praise for the player than won 35 trophies with Barca.

Why Kyogo chose the No.8 jersey when he arrived at Celtic

Iniesta will leave a significant mark on the game having spent 22 illustrious years with Barcelona. The midfielder, along with Xavi and Busquets, were the heartbeat of successful midfields that allowed Messi to flourish in attack.

Kyogo actually selected the No.8 jersey when he arrived at Celtic in a tribute to the World Cup winner. It was certainly a drastic change from the decade of the shirt being worn by battling captain Scott Brown.
