Today’s photo of the day brings you an image from just over 20 years ago, and shows Henrik Larsson in mid-flight as he diving headers the ball. It is such a typical shot of the Swede who was always prepared to put his body on the line.
Larsson scored two cracking goals in the match; a 3-3 draw in October 2002. The first was a sensational volley, after he controlled the ball and spun in an instant. The second was a marvelous powerful header from considerable distance.
What a privilege it was to watch the King in action for a magnificent seven years.
