Photo Of The Day: “Same Situation Again”, Longing For The Return Of The Free Broomloan

Today’s photo of the day shows the Celtic support at Ibrox and revisits their frustrations over being locked out of the stadium.

No fans were allowed into the stadium for the Glasgow Derby back in January, which prompted a lot of discussion about the longing for a return to the “free Broomloan” one day. That scenario materialised due to government restrictions that were introduced to tackle the spread of Covid-19. However, the same grievance is aired again this weekend as Celtic fans find themselves locked out of Ibrox by the host club, rather than any legal enforcements.

Fans will always have great memories, like those pictured above, to reflect on. But it’s a real travesty to see the away support withdrawn from such an iconic fixture.
