Today’s photo of the day maintains the positivity surrounding Celtic by revisiting joyous scenes at the 1975 Scottish Cup Final when Celtic beat Airdrieonians 3-1 at Hampden Park.

Two goals from Paul Wilson and a penalty from Pat McCluskey were enough to get the job done and cancel out McCann’s strike for the underdogs, sending most of the 75,000 strong crowd delirious.

The Celtic support were at their colourful best with scarves above heads, flags waving and bedlam ensuing all around. Meanwhile, on the park Billy McNeill was held aloft as a hero.

Wonderful memories!
