THE OFFICIAL PREMIER LEAGUE account gave Celtic supporters a scare yesterday when they tweeted ‘Welcome Edouard’, replying to Chelsea FC. Frank Lampard’s men just sealed a deal for Edouard Mendy but that didn’t stop the verified English Premier League account threatening to send Celtic supporters into a panic.
Edouard has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs; however, it is expected that the Frenchman will remain with the Scottish Champions. The goalkeeper on the other hand will join the Premier League side having played Celtic twice last year with Rennes in the Europa League.
