CELTIC will play Slavia Prague in the Play-off Round for a place in the Group stages of the Champions League if they can overcome CFR Cluj in the third round of qualifying. The first leg of that tie is on Wednesday at the Dr Constantin Rădulescu Stadium before the tie concludes at Celtic Park a week tomorrow.

Here’s the draw for the Play-off Round which has just been made…

CFR 1907 Cluj (ROU) or Celtic FC (SCO) v Slavia Prague (CZE)

Celtic have won all four of their qualifying games so far, beating Sarajevo and Nomme Kalju home and away and go to Romania full of confidence after a ‘perfect’ performance against St Johnstone on Saturday in the opening day of the Scottish Premiership season. That 7-0 scoreline is sure to have been noted in Cluj and their manager Dan Petrescu will have plenty to think about ahead of these games.

“We’ve had a real intense period with the Champions League games, and we’ve got another big one on Wednesday. That game will be a totally different challenge for us,” Celtic manager Neil Lennon told the UEFA website.
