FOUR CELTIC PLAYERS are at risk of being affected by a new positive case on International duty. The Scottish Champions currently have a number of players away with their national sides; however the news that an Israeli player had tested positive for the deadly virus.

This is concerning for Celtic, who have both Hatem Abd Elhamed and Nir Bitton with Israel. The Israelis next play Norway, Kris Ajer and Moi Elyounoussi are currently on Norwegian duty and are yet to catch the virus.

Elhamed and Bitton have previously tested positive but could face another period of isolation should they be identified as close contacts to any positive cases. The worry is that the two Celtic players in the Norway camp are exposed to the virus, which would result in a period of isolation.

Elyounoussi scored a hat-trick at the weekend as Celtic beat Motherwell 4-1 but Ajer was forced from the field. The last international break resulted in a number of Celtic players missing the subsequent games after testing positive or being in contact with someone that was.

Celtic can ill-afford any more injury blows in what has been a slow few months start to the season. It begs the question why the games are needed.
