CELTIC have rejected Preston’s request to take Scotty Sinclair on loan, according to reports this morning. The English Championship side apparently don’t have the cash to meet the £2.5million that Celtic are looking for the player who signed a contract extension at the end of last season.

Now going into his fourth season, Sinclair is clearly the most successful of the Brendan Rodgers signings for Celtic, winning Player of the Year in his first season and following that up by being the club’s top scorer in his second season. Sinclair has won every domestic competition he has played in in Scottish football. Since coming off the bench at Tynecastle to score a dramatic winning goal against Hearts in August 2016, Sinclair has gone on to win 3 Premiership Titles, 3 Scottish Cups and 3 League Cups.

He has already got his first goal this season, with that delightful back-heel in Sarajevo, but he’s not managed a start yet as Neil Lennon seems to prefer Mikey Johnston and even Lewis Morgan ahead of the Englishman.

Yesterday’s rumours that Alex Neil has put in a £2.5million bid for the Celtic Star are wide of the mark according to Daily Record, although there is interest from Deepdale in signing Sinclair. However Celtic will not entertain any loan bids for a player who has stated that he is happy to remain at Celtic and wants to be here for Ten in a Row.

That though is looking increasingly unlikely.

Lenny’s ‘Poo-poo’ Point on UEFA’s disgraceful Champions League Qualifying System

NEIL LENNON and Dan Petrescu could come face to face in a fortnight as their sides meet in the Champions League third round Qualifiers, assuming they can negotiate their respective way through the second leg of the second round this week.

Celtic are let’s say the bookies favourites to be there, after thrashing the Estonian Champions Nomme Kalju 5-0 at Celtic Park on Wednesday. For the former Chelsea star, his chances are tougher to call. His CFR Cluj side takes a 1-0 to Israel this week and Maccabi Tel Aviv will perhaps fancy their chances of overturning that narrow defeat to make it through to play Celtic…CONTINUE READING HERE.
