Celtic have agreed a fee with Norwich City to bring Adam Idah back to the club. The 23-year-old is in his way back to Glasgow for a medical ahead of signing a long term deal with the Scottish Champions.

As reported by Football Scotland, the fee being reported is a whopping £8.5m plus a fifteen percent sell-on fee.

Football Scotland’s Mark Hendry has been relatively all over this deal and he commented in social media that Norwich felt they had more than anticipated in the negotiations.

There are also reportedly £1m in performance related add-ons included in the deal, which could push the deal to £9.5m. It is a sizeable investment from the club but it reflects the manager’s wishes.

Idah scored 9 goals and assisted 2 times during 19 appearances last season that helped the club to a Double. Brendan wants the player and it’ll be a step in the right direction.

Once the No.9 is announced again, Celtic fans will hope that the club’s transfer activity increases. There has been little by way of rumours, which is only leading to anxiety that business isn’t being done until the last minute.
