Liel Abada is back training with Celtic after Brendan Rodgers intervened to give the player some space. The 22-year-old has been struggling to deal with the situation in Gaza.

The Daily Record reports that Abada returned to Celtic training after a brief few days off. The Celtic manager said that the winger wasn’t involved during Sunday’s win over St Mirren in the Scottish Cup as he was not in the right headspace.

The manager showed his man management skills by giving the player a few days off to allow him to focus on getting back to football. Now, he’s back at Lennoxtown as Celtic return to league action at the weekend. Whilst the report is silent on whether he will be back to compete for a place in the team that faces Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Abada was injured in the September international break, which required surgery. The player returned in the Glasgow Derby win over Rangers to a standing ovation but decided to go straight up the tunnel. The player will likely be getting pressure from his homeland, which will likely make life hard for him in Glasgow.
