CELTIC are in advanced talks to sign Albian Ajeti according to Sky Sports News. The 23-year-old Swiss International has failed to make an impact since joining the Hammers from Basel last summer for £8m. Now, Neil Lennon looks set to agree a deal to bring Ajeti to Paradise on a loan-to-buy agreement.
David Moyes is ready to sanction a deal to allow the Swiss striker to switch the London Stadium for the Scottish Champions after just 9 Premier League appearances. The reported fee appears to be £5m and this represents a good bit of business for the club, as he did leave Basel for £3m more than that.
The report continues to state that Ajeti is keen on a move to Celtic Park with the prospect of first team action and European football appearing to tempt him into a move.
Ajeti and Elyounoussi have previously worked together at Basel and the pair could soon link up in the Hoops as Ajeti provides another striking option to Odsonne Edouard. If he is to sign it spells either a loan or a permanent move for Vakoun Issouf Bayo or Leigh Griffiths as Celtic would have five strikers.
