Celtic have had their date for the Scottish Cup Third Round confirmed with the game against Falkirk being set for Saturday night. The Bairns came from behind to beat Arbroath last night, setting up a date with the four-in-a-row holders. The game will be played on Saturday April 3rd as Falkirk travel to Celtic Park for the 7.30pm kick-off.

Celtic beat Hearts in the rearranged Cup Final back in December but their humbled finalist opponents crashed out of the competition last night against Brora Rangers. This result proves that no team can be underestimated and the League One leaders are no exception.

Celtic have faced Falkirk 11 times in the Scottish Cup, have won 8, drawn 1, and lost 2. The last two times Celtic and Falkirk have crossed swords, Falkirk have emerged victorious, so the tie is by no means an easy one, even though the Bairns are now two Divisions below Celtic.

It would be a good boost for the club going into the off-season if we could complete a 5IAR Scottish Cup haul with another win in the competition, setting us up for a new manager to come in during the close season.
