JOHN HARTSON & CHRIS SUTTON have reacted to Celtic’s 4-2 defeat to AC Milan by calling the latest defeat an embarrassment. The duo who played with Neil Lennon during their time in Glasgow have been supportive of their friend and former colleague in recent weeks while supporters have called for a change in the dugout. However, the pair have both taken aim at the Celtic defence – with Sutton saying that the ‘buck stops with the manager.’
Celtic are now two wins in twelve games, conceding ten goals in the last three games. Neil Lennon knows that the walls are closing in on him as manager and that a win on Sunday is a must. There is a run of fixtures that are winnable between now and January, which is a month that Celtic should look to strengthen. A new goalkeeper and right back are surely high up on Lennon’s wish list.
The defending has been woeful this season and both goalkeepers appear to be in a contest to outdo each other in terms of conceding goals. Something that the manager will be furious about. Sunday is a huge game, a must win and the team need to show the level of desire and quality in the first 15 mins on a regular basis else the Irishman will be out of a job.
