SCOTT BROWN has tonight been voted by his fellow professionals the PFA Scotland Player of the Year.

Broony beat team-mate James Forrest, John McGinn from Hibs and Kilmarnock’s Kris Boyd to pick up the award which is richly deserved.

Brown has been the outstanding footballer in Scotland this season and is on course to lead his teammates to an historic double treble in his testimonial year.

His big match actually happens on 20 May, the day after the Scottish Cup Final against Motherwell. He will hope to have the Scottish Cup with him as he comes out to take the acclaim.

Kieran Tierney picked up the Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season Award but Brendan Rodgers lost out to St Mirren’s Jack Ross in the Manager of the Year category.
