Scottish Cup Final losers – Always cheated never defeated

Always cheated never defeated…

Everyone connected to theRangers, whether it be players managers, or supporters, all seem to have the same ready made excuse when they fail to deliver when it matters most. It’s always someone else’s fault. Usually it’s the officials, and after yesterday’s defeat it was unsurprisingly on field referee Nick Walsh who bared the brunt of their frustrations.

They claim that the official was wrong to chop off their goal after a VAR review after it was rightly disallowed after a clear push by Nicolas Raskin on Joe Hart. However they also conveniently forget that we were denied the chance of a penalty when a blatant handball by Ben Davies was fully ignored on field and in the VAR room. How it wasn’t even referred for a closer inspection is a mystery.

Especially when the man on VAR John Beaton decided a lesser offence was deemed a potential penalty in our controversial game at Tynecastle a few months back.

Yes Walsh missed a clear foul OUTSIDE the box by Liam Scales and it was one we were lucky to get away with it. But as it was outside the box John Beaton could not intervene, as that’s how VAR works.

Walsh also harshly penalised Dujon Sterling for a clean challenge on Greg Taylor so we benefited there also, but it wasn’t the whistler’s only mistakes. For example he let Todd Cantwell away with two cautions for the same offence he booked Callum McGregor for, so at least he was consistent in his mistakes.

That is now the fifth time now this campaign theRangers have failed to beat us, and each and every time it’s been the fault of the officials. That’s after FOUR defeats that would have been five without ‘a worldy’ as Brendan Rodgers yesterday described the late equaliser for theRangers in the 3-3 draw at Ibrox in April.

The brutal truth that theRangers supporters, players and coaches don’t want to acknowledge is that Celtic have been by far the better side over the course of the season as four wins a a draw shows compared to their foru defeats, one in a Cup Final, and one draw sort of suggestions.

Celtic has the better players, a far more superior manager, and are clearly an all round better side. What’s that old saying theRangers supporters were once fond of saying? Always cheated never defeated….

Please keep off the grass….

  1. Nick Walsh and the officials yesterday did have a poor game yesterday, but this also goes with the agenda of trying to aid the scum in every possible way?
The penalty decision was a simple and easy decision to give yet it wasn’t even looked at?
Could cheating Beaton really follow up with allowing a blatant push on Hart to go unnoticed also?
Yet lost count of the amount of off sides that were called upon ourselves so quickly and without any evidence shown to confirm that the decision was actually right in the first place?
Was under the impression that such marginal calls when in such promising attacking positions were to let play develope and be checked properly if a goal is scored?
This certainly wasn’t applied yesterday whatsoever yesterday and suspiciously the TV pictures couldn’t or wouldn’t confirm such numerous decisions?
Would be amazing to think that the club who benefit so hugely from cheating officials, and there decisions throughout the course of every season .
Would continue to think that we are the actual ones to benefit so hugely from them?
Suppose that the price of success and trying to deal with such thick Hun zombie eejits all the same?

i’m a 78 yr old Jewish Celtic fan formerly of Perth and subsequently London for the last 50 yrs and I think your writing is great-I always read it and I love your style.

When I saw that the Walsh/Beaton double-act was appointed for the Cup Final I feared the worst which of course transpired.Rangers approach these games with hatred in their hearts and minds-this of course would be minimised by NOT HAVING RANGERS SUPPS officiating at these games and for years I’ve felt that Celtic FC
should insist on NEUTRAL refs from outside Scotland for these fixtures-its the only way. In England Refs are NOT ALLOWED TO OFFICIATE AT GAMES INVOLVING A TEAM THEY SUPPORT- in marked CONTRAST to Scotland ! Regarding yesterday Celtic’s physically smaller players were battered out of effectiveness by a ref whose tolerance of persistent Rangers fouling severely handicapped Celtic’s efforts.

We need some physically, bigger, tougher guys starting with 2 new centre backs, a beast in midfield and powerful striker and winger. I hope Mr D enables the required investment.”

So at the end of the day Pattern of Assistance FC and all those opportune pens (Beaton as ever so reliable ) were CONQUERED. Well done Brendan and the Squad. This was a Massive Double in the context of next season and that pile of cash. I was at Hampden in 1970 for the Euro Semi against Leeds and I remember thinking this is the greatest EVER ! The vast crowd – 136,000 going on 150,000 and the defeat of the mighty Leeds made for a night NEVER TO BE EQUALLED.

    GLASGOW CELTIC- TRULY AWESOME !
