Sead Hakšabanović was yesterday named as Scottish Premiership Player of the Month for November and was The Celtic player who was involved in the pre-match media conference ahead of the trip to Aberdeen for today’s match. That is usually a good indication that the player is going to start or at the very least be involved in the match.

Ange Postecoglou also spoke about Sead Hakšabanović at his on media conference which The Celtic Star attended. The Celtic manager said:

“Sead has done really well. I’ve said a few times he came late to the piece and it has probably taken him a little while to get up to speed physically as well as playing our football.

“He’s been a great contributor in a number of different areas and there is more to come from him. He is just getting into the swing of things in an area of the park where we are really strong he is a really solid contributor and we’ll see the best of him in the second half of the season. I’m looking forward to seeing what he has to offer.”

Curiously the Celtic manager did NOT mention Hakšabanović in the list of players who are injured or a doubt for today’s match.

So it is a complete mystery why Hakšabanović is not in team or listed as a substitute for today’s game against Aberdeen. It’s clear that he did train yesterday and was very much in the manager’s thoughts and Sead talked about looking forward to todays match against Aberdeen in his own media conference.

No doubt we’ll find out shortly what the problem is, whether it’s a bug or a slight knock. UPDATE: Ange has just told Sky Sports that Sead Hakšabanović picked up a knock in training yesterday, so misses out today.

Here’s Ange’s media conference followed by Sead Hakšabanović speaking to the media, including The Celtic Star…
