CELTIC today announced that Academy players Robbie Deas and Daniel Church have gone out on loan for the season. Deas has joined up with former Celt Peter Grant at Alloa while left back Church has joined East Fife.
Both players featured in the Academy team’s penalty shoot-our win over Queen’s Park in the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup earlier this week – highlights are below.
Robbie spent last season on loan with Cowdenbeath, but the 19-year-old returned to Celtic and scored a last-minute wonder goal at Celtic Park to give Celtic a 3-2 victory in the City of Glasgow Cup final.
Daniel was also in that victorious Cup winning side, and the defender has joined League One side, East Fife for the season. The highly rated 19-year-old will be aiming to help the Methil side in their bid to gain promotion to the Championship this season.
???? @CelticFCAcademy players @Rob_Deasy and @danchurch03 will join Alloa Athletic and East Fife respectively, on season-long loans.
Best of luck this season, Bhoys! ????
