SFA confirm Nick Walsh to referee Celtic’s trip to Hibs

The SFA have confirmed the refereeing appointments for Celtic’s game against Hibernian at Easter Road. Brendan Rodgers takes his team to the Capital as they look to take all three points.

After the impressive 4-0 win on Flag Day at home to Kilmarnock, Celtic take their first away trip of the season to Leith.

The SFA have announced that Nick Walsh will referee the game with Graeme Stewart and John McCrossan assisting. Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Alan Muir is on VAR with Alan Mulvanny assisting.

Walsh was the man in the middle for Hearts’ draw with Rangers last weekend and he will take charge as the Champions travel across the M8. The experienced whistleblower last took charge of a Celtic game in May when Brendan’s team secured the Scottish Cup with a 1-0 win over Rangers at Hampden.

Celtic will look to put Hibs to the sword to continue their fine run of form since the start of the new season. There is also the added incentive to provide punishment for the Edinburgh club’s decision to cut the away allocation at Easter Road.
