Shay Logan has bizarrely claimed that he lives ‘rent free’ inside the heads of Celtic supporters after he celebrated a 1-0 dead rubber at Celtic Park back in 2018. Brendan Rodgers fielded a weakened side with the Scottish Cup Final in mind and Andy Considine gave the Dons a win at Parkhead whilst Celtic celebrated the 7th title in a row.

Yet the game featured Shay Logan appearing to taunt the Celtic support over the win, with Dedryck Boyata confronting him and Logan acting the plastic hard man as the stadium laughed at him in unison as he was sent off.

Despite this, as he was released by Aberdeen, Logan claimed that he was of some relevance to the thoughts of Celtic supporters.

Potentially it is a move to try and stay relevant or a way to get himself some free self promotion but either way it is pathetic to suggest that he is even remembered by the Celtic support for anything other than trying to act the hard man and coming out on the receiving end of a few doings from the Hoops in the past.

Logan has made just twelve appearances this season but Stephen Glass opted to send him to Tynecastle for the rest of the campaign with the Jambos deciding against signing him. He will now leave Aberdeen as a free agent after they decided against extending his stay, probably for the best as he would have likely struggled with Scott Brown schooling him in training every day. The 33-year-old had often taken his chances to kick Celtic’s Scott Brown, smash the ball against him when he was on the ground and generally attempt to engage in petty fights with the legendary Celtic captain as well as any Celtic players.
