Simeone snub classless but it was actually great to see…

Diego Simeone caused a bit of a stir when he looked to have snubbed Brendan Rodgers at full time last night. He did however give him a half hearted high five before heading up the tunnel.

Simeone looked both disgusted and delighted last night showing you how much Celtic  have improved under Brendan. We want managers and their players coming here and feeling frustrated at the way the game has gone for them. For too long now we’ve been seen as a soft touch at home when in a bygone era Celtic Park was considered to be a fortress.

We’ve still got a lot to do to improve in this competition and the European game as a whole, but the past two home games despite only gaining one point, we’ve managed to make a game of it and have been far from blown away. We’ve competed, and let the opposition know they’ve been in a game.

That signifies a major improvement and it’s clear for all to see. We are heading in the right direction under Brendan Rodgers and the fact that a quality coach like Simeone is feeling frustrated after coming here is great news. It’s much better than the patronising waffle we usually have to put up with from bosses of our European opponents. Hopefully it continues.
