Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Switzerland Internationalist Ardon Jashari. The 20-year-old is captain of Swiss outfit FC Luzern. The defensive midfielder is highly-rated with a reported pricetag of £6m. However, Sky Sports in Germany are claiming that the Scottish Champions are keeping tabs on Jashari.

The player has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months with performances in Switzerland as well as making an appearance at the World Cup alerting clubs to his talent. RB Leipzig and Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt are also linked with the player’s signature. It would be more than likely that the club have kept an eye on the player but will likely miss out as they prioritise signing players in other areas.

Celtic have already signed Alistair Johnston, Tomoki Iwata and Yuki Kobayashi despite the window not officially opening until January 1st. The manager, Chris McKay and Michael Nicholson are clearly unwilling to revert to previous bad practices of player trading. The club appear to be calm, composed and prepared for their transfer moves.
