ANTHONY JOSEPH has confirmed that Celtic will look to bring a goalkeeper in to the club in January after Scott Bain and Vasilis Barkas have failed to reach the required standards of a Celtic goalie. The Sky Sports man has said that the Scottish Champions will look to bring a new goalie in after Barkas failed to impress. The reporter listed a number of concerns that the club will have with their £4.5m addition from AEK Athens, including shot stopping.
Craig Gordon and Fraser Forster departed in the summer and they were replaced by the Greek International; however, with an astonishing amount of goals conceded the finger has been pointed at the goalkeepers as an area that needs improvement.
Not really sure what Vasilis Barkas brings to the table. He’s only been at Celtic a few months, but I can’t see standout qualities – shot-stopping, commanding his area etc. Celtic don’t have time to wait for him to get settled and it’s why they’ll be looking for a keeper in Jan.

Fraser Forster and Dean Henderson have been tipped with a move to Celtic and both these players would be an improvement on the current goalkeepers at the club. A return for Forster would be ideal but the reasons that lead to him deciding against a move in the summer may rear their head again.
